Advanced ticketing required in order to secure access to this National Historical Site. No on site ticketing available. 

Tickets are by SHUTTLE DEPARTURE TIME.  Please be at the pick up at the designated time to be shuttled to Tao House for the show.

The site is only accessible via our complimentary National Park Service Shuttle, which departs from The Museum of the San Ramon Valley at 205 Railroad Avenue, Danville, California 94526. (Free parking)

Visitors are not permitted to drive their vehicles to the main park site due to its location within a private, gated community.

After confirming your reservations, visitors will meet at The Museum of the San Ramon Valley, 205 Railroad Avenue, Danville, California 94526. The final shuttle to Tao House and the performance will leave at 6:30PM.

Note on Accessibility: Please email Jackie Hill at jhill@laspositascollege.edu if you or any of your group have accessibility needs before visiting the site. This will help park rangers be prepared for your visit.

Jazz Combos Concert - Main Stage

The Jazz Combos are Las Positas College's most student-led ensembles. Each of the 2 or 3 combos chooses a theme each semester, and creates a cohesive 20-30 minute set with each combo member contributing equally. Past themes have included The Seasons, Ella Fitzgerald, Cole Porter, and even a theme as esoteric as the 5 Stages of Grief! You'll have to attend the concert to find out what themes were chosen this semester!

Black Box Theater

San Francisco Based String Quartet Friction Quartet will be in residency at Las Positas College premiering original compositions by LPC composition students and LPC music faculty. Friction Quartet, lauded for performances described as "terribly beautiful" (San Francisco Classical Voice), "stunningly passionate" (Calgary Herald), and "exquisitely skilled" (ZealNYC), is dedicated to modernizing the chamber music experience and expanding the string quartet repertoire. The quartet achieves its mission by commissioning cutting-edge composers, curating imaginative concert programs, collaborating with diverse artists, and engaging in interactive educational outreach. This residency is made possible by a generous grant from the Las Positas College Foundation.

Seating is limited in the Black Box theater.

Main Stage

Highschool students will work with LPC Music Faculty and Alumni for a 4-day intensive of Improvisation, Music Theory, Rehearsals, Performance and more from June 23 – 26, 2025. The camp culminates in a public performance on the Mertes Main Stage on June 26, at 7 p.m. which will feature the music of the great saxophonist and composer Benny Golson.
